The Sonoma County Public Safety Consortium is supported by a team of professionals from the County of Sonoma’s Information Systems Department (ISD). ISD’s Public Safety Central Support Team provides technical expertise, network infrastructure and data integration, along with support and maintenance to the Consortium’s core services.
The Consortium utilizes a suite of software solutions from Hexagon Public Safety and Infrastructure for our Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Mobile Data Computer (MDC), and Records Management System (RMS). In 2020, we migrated our records management system to Central Square, an industry leader in public safety software solutions. The Consortium also utilizes Crossroads Software for our eCitation, Crash Reporting, and Traffic Analytics, along with Lexis Nexis’ Desk Reporting Officer (CopLogic) for online citizens reports.
In October 2017, the Consortium’s system was put to the test during one of the most destructive wildfires in California history. Our first responders needed a reliable, stable, and robust system to help keep our community safe, and our system performed admirably.
